Discovering Danelle's Critters: A Journey of Passion and Animals

Hey there! 🐾 Let me take you on a journey through my animal-filled world. From the time I was a bug-loving kid to now, where I'm surrounded by an array of amazing creatures, my love for animals has always been a driving force.

I used to be that kid who brought home all sorts of bugs, snakes, lizards, or even baby birds that I tried to save. While my mom wasn't exactly an animal enthusiast, I had big dreams of working with animals—like becoming a vet or a zookeeper. But reality hit when I shadowed a vet and realized I couldn't handle the heartache of certain procedures all day long.

Life took me on a winding path through college, marriage, and numerous relocations, finally settling into a home of our own three years ago. That's when my pet adventure truly began.

Then came a game-changer: breeding crested geckos. Within a couple of months, I was knee-deep in researching, gathering, and nurturing these unique creatures. That's when Danelle's Critters was born. In 2022, we proudly bred crested and gargoyle geckos.

Hold on, let me introduce you to our current critter crew! 🦎

Our Pets:

  • Leopard Gecko

  • Long-tailed Lizard

  • Brown Anole

  • 4 Pet Rats

So, what's my goal in all this? It's not just about creating stunning animals; it's about education and unforgettable experiences. I want to share the joy of these creatures with everyone, while also offering a range of beginner reptiles for enthusiasts.

As for the future, it's an exciting unknown. My husband and I are open to new critter companions, like New Caledonian Geckos, Cuban False Chameleons, Red Eyed Crocodile Skinks, and so much more. While the road ahead is unpredictable, one thing is certain: Danelle’s Critters will keep growing, and I'd love for you to be part of the journey. If you have any critter suggestions, feel free to share!

Stay curious and critter-loving! 🌱🐍🦎🕷️
