Exciting Updates: October 1st

Greetings everyone,

It's been quite a whirlwind of activity lately, and I apologize for the slight delay in my usual weekly update blog post. The reason for the delay? Well, my family and I spent the entire weekend house hunting. We're on the lookout for a new place that better accommodates our beloved Danelle's Critters. You see, our current living arrangement has become quite the zoo, quite literally.

In our bedroom, we have a bunch of geckos, and they can be quite the chatterboxes at night. In the closet, we've got ball pythons, and in the dining room, other snakes. Our sunroom is home to isopods, while our quarantined animals have taken over my husband's office. It's safe to say that our current setup isn't ideal, especially if we want Danelle's Critters to thrive and expand.

As if that wasn't enough, I recently decided to do some rearranging in our home. You see, I have an extensive collection of beautiful plants, and with the addition of a cat, I found myself in a constant battle between the cat and our bunny for ownership of my green beauties. In order to provide my plants with a peaceful space, I relocated a significant portion of them to my bedroom, bidding farewell to the lovely sunroom. I then transformed the sunroom into a haven for my 31 varieties of isopods. Additionally, I've been hard at work organizing all my reptile equipment.

Amidst all this busyness, I wanted to ensure we kept you all in the loop.

Corn Snake Baby Update!

We're excited to announce that we have 16 baby corn snakes in our care. Fourteen of them have been thriving, eating regularly, and becoming more accustomed to human interaction. It wasn't easy, but we've decided to keep four of these adorable babies to further our corn snake project. The other ten, who are also eating well, will be looking for new homes in the next couple of weeks. As for the two remaining ones who are still a bit finicky with their meals, we're hopeful that they'll come around soon.

Upcoming Reptile Shows

In addition to tending to our growing family of baby animals (two baby gargoyle geckos are currently in the incubator, eagerly awaiting their new homes), house hunting, and reorganizing, we're gearing up for a busy season of reptile shows.

Our next stop is just a little over a week away! We'll be at the Repticon event at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center in Charlotte on October 14th and 15th. We're thrilled to return to Charlotte for the second time and are looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces.

But that's not all! We've got more shows lined up in Raleigh in November, back to Charlotte in December, and a return to Durham. Stay tuned for further details on these exciting events.

Super Fall Sale Alert

Alright, maybe it's not a super-secret sale, but it's definitely super! We currently have over 100 babies from this season, and to make room for the new arrivals hatching each week and to ensure safe shipping before the winter pause, we're offering a massive 50% off sale for a limited time only. This is the perfect opportunity to snag beginner isopod species, including powder orange, powder blue, oreo crumble, and dairy cow isopods.

Halloween Giveaway Sneak Peek

Hold onto your hats because our Halloween giveaway is just around the corner, and it's going to be epic! I'm putting the finishing touches on it, and I can't wait to share all the exciting details with you in the next two weeks. Get ready to enter and win some fantastic prizes!

That's a glimpse of what's been keeping me busy lately. I'll be back with another update next week, and I'm really looking forward to meeting some of you on the 14th and 15th! Until next time.
