This clean up crew works well for most bioactive setups from tropical to arid. The isopods multiply quickly making them a good option for critters that will eat some. You still want to provide a wide variety of hiding places for the isopods to help keep them multiplying.

What’s Included

• Isopods: 60 Powder Party Mix (Porcellionides pruinosus)

• Springtails: White Temperate Springtails

Best For

• Enclosure type: Universal – This crew will handle moist environments all the way to semi-arid. They can’t extremely dry and hot conditions such as those found in a uromastyx enclosure, but can handle semi-arid such as those provided a leopard gecko or bearded dragon.

• Ideal for: Everyone

• Substrate: Bioactive or naturalistic substrates with a moisture gradient

What They Do

• Break down waste and uneaten food

• Help control mold and fungal growth

• Aerate substrate and recycle nutrients

• Support a healthy, self-maintaining bioactive ecosystem

Care Notes

• Provide a hydration station by placing moss around the water dish

• Provide leaf litter and hiding places

• Avoid chemical cleaners or pesticides

• Population will establish and grow with proper conditions
